Allison C.

OWNER, MAGICATION & DISNEY AFICIONADO

I have been a huge Disney fan all of my life. From the first time I watched Dumbo as a child, to raising my niece and my 3 boys, Disney has been a huge part of my life. I remember my first trip to Disney World in 1989. It was a road trip with just me and my parents. It was a special time for me to spend time alone with my parents, since I’m the youngest of 4. I remember walking into the Magic Kingdom for the first time and it was truly a magical moment. The hustle and bustle of the crowd, walking under the train station, the tunnel opening up onto Main Street.  You’re enveloped with the magic right away and surrounded by the singing of the Dapper Dans, the sound of the bell from the trolley passing by and the smell of the Main Street bakery and there, standing tall at the end of Main Street, Cinderella’s Castle. I was hooked. There was no turning back.  We got to go again the next year with my parents and my sister this time. But then I didn’t have a chance to go again until I met my now husband, who was an even bigger Disney fan than I was (which I didn’t think possible). He had been going at least once a year since 1974. We started going together in 1998 and each year I couldn’t wait to go again so we started going more and more often.  Last year we spent 46 days in Disney, with our 3 children, on our annual passes.  For a non-local, that’s pretty awesome.  Disney is our Home!

We decided to start Map the Magic, which is a Disney and Universal planning website.  We go so often and wind up helping all our family and friends plan their vacations, we even help people in the parks too, so we thought we would branch out and help others.  While we were feverishly working on the huge website, we realized there would be people who would still want personal help in building their dream vacations. So we decided to expand our initial goals and open Magication.

We were determined that we would only have the best of the best agents as part of our Agency. Each and every agent must first and foremost be a Disney and Universal fan and have extensive personal knowledge of the parks. We will only offer the best service and make everything as simple and easy as possible for our clients. After all, planning a magical vacation should not be stressful, it should be fun.

We opened our virtual doors and now Disney World is our second “Home” office and we couldn’t be happier helping others create magical vacations and creating special adventures and memories that will last a lifetime!

Destinations Visited: Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Universal Hollywood

Favorite Rides
I’m an adrenaline junkie so I like the big coasters!

Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain – can’t get enough of the coaster in the dark, so awesome and my 2 older boys love it!

Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror – truly amazing theming on this ride and the anticipation gets you more than the drop!

Hollywood Studios: Rock ‘n Roller Coaster – a launch of 0-60 in 2.8 seconds while rockin out to Aerosmith? How can you say no to that!

Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest – watch out for that Yeti, they really do exist.

Epcot: Soarin – okay, I know the rest are adrenaline rushes, but this one is calm and absolutely stunning

Universal Studios: Anything Harry Potter, I mean really, anything!!

Universal Islands of Adventure: First and foremost, see above, anything Harry Potter! Second is the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster – this is a non-stop adrenaline rush!

Favorite Food
Disney World: Mickey Pretzel, I really want my own, but usually have to share. Also, I know the dole whip gets a lot of attention, but the lesser known, and in our opinion the better option, is a Citrus Swirl found at the Aloha Isle in Adventureland, Magic Kingdom. Check it out!

Disneyland: Churro and Mickey Pretzel

Universal Studios: Butter Beer, mmmm

Favorite Food
Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest for dinner is an awe inspiring and magical experience with amazing food. We love to sit by the floor to ceiling windows with snow falling outside (yes, it snows in Florida with some Disney magic!)

Epcot: The Garden Grill at the Land – this is a family favorite. It’s a character dining experience and their breakfast and dinner are out of this world.

Epcot: Le Cellier – mmm, just writing about this makes me want to go. Epcot has so many choices for amazing dining experiences, too many to choose a favorite. But this one is a long standing favorite for my husband and I.

Hollywood Studios: Our family favorite is hands down the 50’s Prime Time Café. Take a seat at mom’s kitchen table and enjoy a healthy portion of mom’s home cooking, but be sure to keep those elbows off the table!

Animal Kingdom: Tusker House – this breakfast is so fun with all your favorite characters and an amazing buffet selection. Don’t miss out on the chocolate croissants, yummy!

Disneyland: The Plaza right on Main Street is a quick serve location for lunch and dinner and is a great place to grab a quick bite, but also offers an absolutely fabulous fried chicken meal.

California Adventure: Country Wine Trattoria – the lasagna is out of this world amazing, must try!

Universal Studios: See my note from above about rides? Anything Harry Potter goes for dining too. The Three Broomsticks offers a great selection of yummy bites and we absolutely love the, straight from the book, atmosphere here.
